We recently celebrated our one-year-old’s birthday! She loves Bubble Guppies on Nickelodeon Jr. (she really enjoys the music), so it was a no brainer to have that as her theme.
Caked by Ellie designed + baked our cake and it was amazing; she even used the character figurines to decorate the cake and it’s great since we can reuse them after for bath toys.
Most of the decorations came from Amazon and Oriental Trading. Special shoutout to my husband + mother in law for helping blow up that balloon garland! My MIL also made jello shots for the adults + jello treats (with Swedish Fish inside) for everyone else. Party favors included Bubble Guppies temporary tattoos + stickers, and small bubbles to blow. We ordered catering from a local Italian place + had some snacks to represent “coral” (Cheetos) and “seaweed sticks” (veggie sticks).
We were incredibly lucky with the November weather; last year it was below freezing but this year we were blessed with 70+ degree sunny skies. We set up a small ball pit + activity tent for the kids to play in. We kept it only family, especially with COVID but we hope to celebrate with friends too next year!
