We went to Harvest Moon + Orchard last year when I was pregnant, and thought we could start this tradition of going every year to take a family photo.
We got lucky with the sunny, autumn weather and the pumpkin patch is highly organized! The pumpkins are all sorted by size, type, and color. We’ve been to other pumpkin patches in the past, but you literally had to pluck the pumpkins from the ground, roots and all. It gets messy, especially if it rains. These were cleaned and placed neatly, ready for picking up.
There is also an apple orchard, but with COVID-restrictions, reservations and tickets needed to be made, and by the time we went – the trees were getting bare anyway.
It definitely wasn’t crowded this year, but we made sure to buy two dozens of apple cider doughnuts (we shared with family) on the way home – super yummy!
